"Kwihangana" is the title of Jules Renault's debut feature-length documentary. While on a journey through Rwanda, Leica asked him to explore their renowned SL2-S camera, tasking him with capturing a documentary series. Jules engaged with the central figures of his film, predominantly survivors of the genocide, photographing the remnants of a recent and tragic period. Each portrait was meticulously crafted following in-depth interviews that delved into themes of resilience and the remarkable rebirth of Rwanda from its haunting recent history.
